Affordable Task Management Software
If you find yourself sitting in your office or cubicle at work getting more and more depressed about your job and less and less motivated to do your work then stop, take a deep breath and look around. Do you see mounds of work surrounding you? Endless piles of paper everywhere? Post-It notes stuck haphazardly with just a few words that should make? If you answered yes to any or all of these then fear not, there is a simple solution for you.
Solutions from Task Management Software
A very affordable option for companies who have even the tightest of budgets is task management software. Some people hear those words and automatically assume it will cost way more than your budget allows, but that is hardly the case. Yes, there are many companies that offer things like unlimited bandwidth and storage space for a ‘low’ monthly fee, but if you don’t need that much space then there is really no point in paying the extra money. That is where you look for other payment options. Some companies have rates that start at just a couple of dollars a month for about 2 GB or so of storage. This is a pretty small amount, but if your company isn’t that big or doesn’t have a lot of clients and projects then why would you need more space?
If you aren’t really sure how much space you need there is one easy way to find out. Some companies actually allow you to pay for what you use, and just what you use at the end of every month. The prices tend to be a little bit more expensive this way, but it would give you a better understanding of just how much space you need to figure out what monthly package is best for you. And since most companies don’t make you sign annual contracts it is really easy to switch around until you find the one that fits your company’s needs best.
Client Information
There is one downside to switching around companies; you’ll have to re-enter all of your client and project information every time you switch, since they all use different programs. The only time this probably wouldn’t have to happen is if you are fortunate enough to find a company that has monthly as well as pay-as-you-go options. These types will store your information either way, and you should be able to access it no matter what program you’re using.
Task management software is generally pretty easy to use too, and it should be a simple transition from post-its and piles of paper. Of course, post-its are still the best way to take down information quickly when you don’t have time to access your system. Just don’t forget to enter it into the client file in the program and you’ll be fine! It is very important to keep everything as up to date as possible and never hurts to allocate a certain time every week to go over your current projects and double check that everything is in there.
